Principal's Message

August 10, 2021

Dear Bobcat Families,

Welcome to the new school year at Hamilton Elementary. We know this year will be filled with learning experiences and enriching activities. We are so excited to welcome students in-person to campus. I am grateful to be given the opportunity to be your principal and learn about the community.

This is my 17th year in Hemet Unified. I have been a teacher, English Learner Site Lead, an Assistant Principal, and now Hamilton’s Principal. I have worked at Cawston, Winchester, and Valle Vista Elementary Schools. I have my Master’s Degree in Teaching and Technology. My passion is ensuring all students have the opportunity to learn and grow in the capacity and with the support they need individually. Here at Hamilton Elementary, we implement a school-wide system of support called Positive Behavior Interventions & Support also known as PBIS. We use proactive strategies for defining teaching and supporting appropriate student behaviors. Students earn PBIS points for following school rules and can use these points to shop at our Student Store.

My husband and I have been married for 11 years and have three wonderful children ages 25, 22, and 17 years old.

This 2021-2022 school year is an exciting time as we welcome students back in person. We still are under some restrictions, including wearing masks inside. We will be limiting the number of outside people on campus to ensure student and staff safety. Please know that the safety and health of our students and staff, along with our families, are at the forefront of our concern. We will do all that we are able to support our students socially, emotionally, and academically during this school year.

Thank you for trusting me with the education, safety, and emotional well-being of your child(ren). I look forward to continuing to get to know each and every one of you better.
